While Facebook still hasn’t implemented the long overdue “dislike” button we’re all anxiously waiting for, they have —however — taken the like button to another level. The design of the new feature was just released at the end of January, allowing users to be more expressive and has already unlocked big opportunities for branding and marketing agencies. Released only a week ago, people are already bored with the standard options, but don’t worry, because now you can say it all with the face of Donald Trump or even Pikachu.

Step 1

The new extension is available for Firefox or Chrome and lets you download and replace the standard reaction emojis with a new line of Pokémon characters or close ups faces of Republican presidential candidate — Donald Trump — and his tan angry face. The name of the extension is Reaction Packs. The first step involves visiting their website at reactionpacks.com. After entering the Web page you will be presented with the first step of selecting the extension for the appropriate Internet browser.

Step 2

After you pick the appropriate browser, you will then be presented with the different Reactions Packs. The options extend beyond just the well-known faces of Donald Trump and Pikachu. As of now, there are about eight published reaction packs available to download. No to mention, if you aren’t pleased with any of the provided options you can publish your own — anyone can do it. This is an interesting feature that we can predict marketing agencies to grab ahold of and run with.

Step 3

The final step is to head back to your Facebook page so you can put your angry Trump face to use. Click refresh on the page and those boring, standard yellow emojis will transform into the images you selected and downloaded. Now you have the ability to go beyond just liking a post, you can express how much you like (or dislike) with an array of different faces. It will be interesting to see how users and marketing agencies utilize this new Facebook feature in this constantly changing digital world of ours, but as for now, have fun expressing!
