Rajasthan vs Chennai, Indian T20 League 2020, Match Prediction

by MyTeam11 Fantasy Sports App developer

Rajasthan and Chennai travel to Sharjah to face each other in the 4th fixture of the Indian T20 League 2020.

Team Preview

Rajasthan kicks off their Indian T20 League 2020 campaign on Tuesday against Chennai, who edged past Mumbai in the tournament opener. Rajasthan is a decent side but the lack of experienced Indian players might hurt them in the tournament. They lost their best batsman Rahane in the season transfer and the opening slot is giving a scar to Steve Smith who is going to lead the side for the whole tournament. Butler and Stokes will not be available so Miller and Curran can get a nod in the playing XI.

Meanwhile, Chennai surprised everyone with a fabulous display against Mumbai in the season opener. Mumbai posted 162 on the board after Ngidi’s three and Sam Curran’s two wickets haul. After losing openers on just 6 runs, Faf and Rayudu put a match-winning stand to cross the line for Chennai. On paper, Chennai has an upper hand against Rajasthan but T20 is a game of unpredictability and Rajasthan are the underdogs. On a new track, how they adapt the conditions, will be a big question for Rajasthan. Steve Smith has big pressure in the absence of two major English players.

Pitch Report

Sharjah Cricket Stadium is a decent T20 ground and it offers a good amount of runs to batsmen. Pacers can trouble with the new ball. Any score above 150 would be a challenging task to chase.
