Start a food diary

Write down whatever you eat throughout the day. Include even that little bite of chocolate or cake. Research says that people who maintain writing down all that they eat, tend to lose weight quicker than ones who don't. Once you have it in black and white, it is easier to cut out all the empty calories that you were consuming without meaning to.

That urge to reach out to a soft drink or any aerated, or sweet beverage, could be one of the major reasons for your increasing weight. Studies have found that you could be adding more than 10 kg per year, thanks to just aerated beverages.
