by Mohamed A. mohamedali

Despite its lack of critical acclaim, Qamar 14 is a decent movie. It has a solid plot, good star cast, and a release date. Its main flaws are its predictable plot, and the fact that the movie is a little too long.

Release date

Amongst the numerous high-profile Egyptian films scheduled for release during the Eid Al Adha holiday period, one movie stands out. The Qamar 14 film, directed by Hadi El Bagoury, is a comedy set within the span of one lunar night. The storyline involves five non-related couples as they confront the various challenges that plague them on the path to survival. Interestingly, the film was originally slated to be released on December 29th. Despite this, the date was pushed back to January 12th.

The Qamar 14 movie features an ensemble cast that includes Khaled El Nabawy, Shereen Reda, Ghada Adel, and Yasmine Rais. It also stars Mohamed Henedy, who returns to the big screen after four years. It is the first of his movies to be shown on the big screen since 2014's aptly titled The Devil's Den. Other notable actors include Ahmed Ezz, Asm Abulyazeid, Menna Shalaby, and the incomparable Amr el Mawna.

The Qamar 14 movie is a satirical exercise that focuses on five love stories. The film is a product of the aforementioned Sobky Film Production, which is the premier film production company in Egypt.
