Possible causes
If Windows does not detect a network that you believe is within your PC's reach, one of the following problems may have occurred.
Wifi off
You are in aircraft mode
The pc is too far from the wireless router or access point.
The wireless router or access point is turned off or is not working properly
Wifi off
In many PCs (especially laptops) there is a wireless switch on the front or side of the computer. If the switch is present, check that it is switched on. On some computers, the switch is switched on or off via a combination of function keys (fn + one of the F keys, usually F4 or F5, it's drawn)
Computer away from the router
Move the computer closer to the router or access point. If your computer is portable, try moving it to determine the range of the wireless signal and where to place it.

If you can't get close to the router or access point, consider buying and installing an external antenna for your wireless network card. Many wireless network cards are configured so that you can connect an external antenna to it, which allows better reception than the built-in antenna. To verify the possibility of installing an additional antenna, see the documentation of the wireless network card.
The wireless router or access point is turned off or is not working properly
Two solutions are available:
Check that the router or access point is turned on and that the wireless signal light is also on.
Reset the router or access point by disconnecting it from the power and then reconnecting it after waiting at least 10 seconds.
