Setting Styles:

• Royal Pave: This setting style uses a common bead. This bead holds three adjacent stones. This appears like a honey comb arrangement. Large beads are required so as to overlap all three stones. A total of six beads hold each stone in place.

• Four Bead Pave: In this, four beads are solely dedicated to each stone.In this setting the beads are smaller in size.

Symmetry and Precision:

• Absolute symmetry is required for Micro pave. All the components should be symmetrical to achieve a classy micro pave.

• The cutting of the diamonds should be precise. This makes the diamonds appear floating on the surface of the band.

• Proper spacing is required so as to position the diamonds in their beads.

Size of the Diamond:

While choosing a diamond for micro pave setting, the size should be taken into account. The stones measures in fractions of millimeters. This is the diameter of the diamond and not the carat size.  These diamonds are extremely rare. The commonly used sizes are from 0.7 to 1.2 mm. Diamond sizes generally do not exceed 1.4 mm.

Setting Techniques:

The techniques required for the settings require skilled hands. However, CAD-CAM design have made the work a little easier. These techniques have reduced the hard labor required to create the master pieces and have resulted in saving time as well. With these techniques, one can position each diamond in a pre-positioned placement.

While buying a wedding band studded with diamonds, the stones are to be bought with a certificate as this ensures quality of diamonds.
