Plitvice Lakes National Park Croatia
There is no Croat, where ever he goes, that doesn’t know
anything about Plitvice Lakes, that his heart would not tick stronger when he
only heard that name. When
one heard’s the name: Plitvice Lakes - the one who was already lucky to see this
wonderful place, his heart is spreading in the chest for this gems and pearls
of Croatia, our homeland. Therefore,
it is natural that it should be written and spoked about Plitvice Lakes, but we
still do not have a complete description of them, which would be presented to
the people, and this beautiful place, as it really grasps our eyes, ears, and
other senses.
The
living folk crater of the heart for Plitvice Lakes made me wonder if I could
cover some main things about it, so that I could describe them and write down
about these beautiful place, and give the opportunity to give people some basic
information, and in general, just a couple of more beautiful descriptions of
Plitvice Lakes!
The
accommodation Plitvice Lakes
National Park is open all year round for visits. The
tour area is largely covered by lakes and waterfalls, and hikers and 2 educational
paths are available to visitors. We
would advise you to know about the possibilities of a tour that largely
determines the time of the year, ie the weather and the working hours of the
Park and the open facilities and entrances. So
you can plan your trip better and choose suitable clothing and footwear, which
will make your visit to Plitvice Lakes more enjoyable. Planing
a visit to the area around the lake, consider taking a number of steps and
climbs due to the height difference from the first lake, Prošća, to the last,
Novakovic Brod, is 133 m.
In
the period from mid-April to the end of October, all three entrances to the NP
- Entrance 1, Entrance 2 and the auxiliary entrance to Flora are opened. During
this period, the panoramic train and electric boat on Lake Kozjak are usually
used. Regardless
of which entrance you start on the tour, there are half-day programs (3 to 4
hours) and full-day programs (5 to 6 hours). Programs
are circular, mostly on foot, and return you to the starting point. The
ticket includes the use of a panoramic train and an electric boat as part of a
selected program. In
the case of snow or windscreen, the panorama train does not operate.
Be
sure to inform the Plitvice Lakes at the entrance to the train and boat line so
that you will not miss the last.
