The economic crisis in 2007/2008 is still being talked about in financial circles worldwide and should be a wake up call for us all. We can never be 100% prepared, however we should always be thinking of ways of protecting ourselves. We need to have plan to not only help ourselves, but others in any situation as well.

 

"For wisdom is protection just as money is protection, but the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the lives of its possessors" Ecclesiastes 7:12

 

 

Plan, Prosper

 

Planning is decision making-based on anticipated conditions. Identify your needs, identify and procure your resources and you determine your steps for you and  your family.

 

•What decisions do you need to make?

•What are your needs and what resources will you need?

•What is your plan-and based on conditions, what will you do?

•Write it down your list now and your questions.

 

Psalm 37:23-24

 

Relationships, Responsibility

 

Know your neighbors and community. Also don't forget your relatives that may need you.

 

•Who are you planning for-do you know everyone you need to know?

•Who is there to help you-to back you up?

 

Proverbs 27:10; 1 Timothy 5:8

 

Economic Challenges, Enough

 

Be wise in knowing what you will need to pay. Be realistic in what income you may or may not receive and determine the cash needs, then make plans to obtained.

 

•Have cash on hand.

•Are you able to go a month without income?

•Be strategic about your expenses and financial management during a crisis.

 

Proverbs 6:6,8

 

 

Protection, Prevention

 

Protection from weather, power outages, disease, threats and risks. The key is to keep damage and loss at a minimal.

 

•Supplies will strengthening your home and alternate locations.

•Be strategic about protecting yourself and you family.

 

Psalms 23 & 91

 

Aware, Alert

 

Pay attention to the current events, weather and be ready to take action.

 

•Weather/Emergency Radio to get information.

•BE ready to move in your plan.

 

Proverbs 27:12

 

Rehearse, Ready

 

Practice your emergency plans with your family.

 

•Talk out your plans and make sure your family is aware.

•Have everything in place.

 

Matthew 25:1

 

Everything, End

 

Having done all-having done everything you can...

Be patient and stay strong.

Expect to survive and be a help to others.

Be part of God's operation.

 

Complete your plans and lists to be the solution!

A position of preparedness is a position of strength.
