Paper Rolls and Applications
Paper rolls considered simple form of stationery is encountered by users in everyday life. There are so application were paper roll usage is required. Not to say these application come in various size, shape and color. Even the width and length of rolls differ as per the application.
They are sold in the market as till rolls used in cash register or POS. 1 bond paper roll used in ATM and calculator machines. These rolls are used in impact printers also called dot matrix printers and the imprint obtained is in monochrome or dual colors. Instead of a carbon sheet in between the rolls are laminated on the backside to print a copy on the second sheet. The carbonless paper is used as rolls and continuous sheets as well in printers.
Butcher paper roll is kraft paper sold for wrapping meat and food. These are also used for various other purposes now. It is used for making posters and as art and craft item in school. It is also used to pack fragile items by the moving companies.
Thermal rolls are coated with chemicals which react when heat is applied to impart an image or characters. They are used in thermal printers, ATM machines in light weight devices like adding machines, calculators, cash registers, receipt printers and credit card terminals. These are lightweight point of sale systems and use rolls which can be quickly refilled.
The diverse forms of paper rolls are sold in the market by distributors and retailers. They are supplied according to the specifications in demand. They are also available on stationery shops selling products online. Since the consumption may be large they are purchased in bulk as business strategy especially whence discounts or special offers are available.
