Here are some of the funniest reason’s customers have called for our help:
I am being stalked by the FBI!
We once had a customer call us for our locksmith services on various occasions to change their locks, as they were convinced that the FBI was stalking him, breaking into his home, and moving his belongings around. We had to install a 001 touch deadlatch and told him that locksmiths can’t even open it without damage.
Puppy Tug of War
After responding to a late-night lockout call, we decided to use an under-door tool (which slides under the door and pulls the lever down from the other side) to gain entry. To our surprise, our customers puppy had latched onto the tool and pulled it out of our hands! Because the puppy defeated us in the game of tug of war, we have to pick the door open instead.
Husband and Wife Lock Wars
We started getting called to the same household several time, and each time it was either the husband or wife that was ‘locked out’. Turned out that they were just in a fight and were changing the locks on each other!
Our Relative Is not Answering
A situation that was not funny at first as we were contacted to go to an elderly resident home as his relatives were concerned as he was not answering the door. It turned out that the funny old man didn’t have his hearing aid in, and once we opened the door he started laughing and called us all silly.
The Sleepy Boyfriend
We received a call once as a young lady couldn’t gain access to her house, as we were in the middle of picking the door open, her boyfriend opened the door and apologized as he slept right through her calls and couldn’t hear the knocking on the door.
