Online and Offline Book management System
Introduction
Purpose of developing a web based Book Management System is to provide solution for effective management of books which is a tedious task with the help of traditional methods using paper and pencil.
Purpose
Purpose of developing Book Management System is to provide the different functionalities such as addition of books, deletion of books, modification in book records, searching of books etc. through a web based application. This way it will help users to manage books effectively and saves the lots of time.
Motivation
Maintaining books details on paper or in hard books is very complicated and time consuming process. It also involves the risk of losing details of books. Also it is very difficult to find books from hand written data or hard books. It will be easy to store information with the help of this system and also will help to search books easily.
Technology Used
To develop this web application, I have used the below technologies:
Front End: HTML, PHP, AJAX, CSS, XSLT
Back End: XML
As this exercise is to understand the use of XML in web programming, I have not used any RDBMS system as backend. I have used XML to store and perform all the manipulation of data.
