NRIs Bank Investment Is On Rise

by Kim Gill Writer

Can you guess where does good investor keep an eye on? His eyes set on investment plans that have promise of good returns. The basic theory of investing money is simple, i.e. to earn profit. A person, with his bags and luggage, migrates to the US or Germany or UK or France, for what? It’s to stuff his wallet with euros or dollars.

What takes an Indian away to European countries?

A non-resident of India (NRI) knows how to encash his hard work and intelligence in foreign currency. The scale weighs currency of European countries and some of the Asian countries more than that of Indian coins. And there, pay scale is relatively higher. So, NRIs prefer catching flight to abroad. Thence, the sophisticated lifestyle, comfort, incentives and privileges bind them there for many years.

US Dollar Up, Indian Rupee Down

It may be momentary yet the downfall of Indian rupees against the US dollar is not going to stop. The strolling down rupee is causing headache to native Indians. As per providers of NRI services in India, for NRIs, it’s a bonanza. For not letting the opportunity pass by easily, many of them have started hitting Indian banks. They are in hurry to exchange their thousands or lakhs of dollars in rupees. This is just for maximizing value of their investment at this nick of time when 1$ costs Rs. 66.19. And, Gujarati NRIs are the forerunner in this.

NRIs investment in banks till 30 June, 2015 is marked Rs. 59,039 which is 11.84% higher than previous year. They have deposited Rs. 54,574 till 31 March 2015 which is all in all 11.13%. These figures clearly demonstrate that NRIs are surrendering their money to Indian banks. Even, jump in NRI investment in real estates & purchase of cars is making no difference to their bank deposits.

Why NRIs have started investing in India?

  1. Indian banks are offering attractive rate of Interest, i.e. 8% on NRI investment.
  2. Promising policies of Indian government favouring NRIs are tempting.
  3. NRIs’ sentiments have started improving for the native land.
  4. Projections confirm no rise in the value of Indian rupee against US dollar in near future.
  5. Liquidity crisis in some of the foreign countries have scared NRIs to invest there.

Garment Importers unhappy with rolling down rupees

Garment exporters (online) are singing songs of happiness as they are maximizing profit on very low investment. And those, who have not started reaping benefits, they are in hurry to catch this golden chance. On the contrary, garment importers are wailing since their loss of revenue is going gigantic. Some of these poor importers had priced product when the value of dollar was Rs. 62. But gaining Rs. 4 lead, it’s causing hefty loss to them.
