Nomos Orion Midnight Edition Watches Review
Nomos Orion Midnight Edition watches for Timeless provide an option
that combines the distinctly German Bauhaus style of Nomos with a very
cool “midnight” blue dial with either silver- or gold-accented hands and
markers. Not just satisfied with aesthetic changes, the movement has
also been updated to feature the Nomos swing system, which is a nice
upgrade to the existing Alpha movement http://www.watchesun.co/nomos-replica.html.

Nomos Orion is a minimalist piece that measures 38mm wide featuring a
seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock, and while you can get a date window with
the standard Nomos Orion, the Nomos Orion Midnight Edition version
doesn’t have the option. The long, curved lugs make this watch look
appropriate on the larger wrist, as well. The lugs combined with the
thin profile, which measures at around 8.8mm thick, make this about as
sleek and cool of a dress watch as you can get for the price.
The movement is a modified version of the standard Nomos Alpha hand-wound caliber. The Alpha is an in-house movement based on the Peseux 7001, which provides a 43-hour power reserve and features a hacking functionality, tempered blue screws, rhodium-plated movement surfaces with Glashütte ribbing and NOMOS perlage, and ratchet and crown wheel with Glashütte sunburst. Special for Timeless is the addition of the Nomos swing system, which features new balance, balance spring, escape wheel, and pallet.
The comfortable and attractive black shell cordovan straps, the Nomos Orion Midnight Edition watch for Timeless offers a cool option for someone looking for a piece that stays true to the original but in this deep blue dial (plus the modified movement). Made in limited runs of 75 pieces each in gold and silver.
