NBA Live 18 – How to Perform Offensive, Defensive and Dribble moves on PlayStation 4

A tutorial that shows how to move players and how to perform offensive moves, defensive moves, and dribbles in NBA Live 18 games. 

NBA Live 18 players will use their controllers to perform all sorts of moves while playing games on the court. Here are some of the most used ones. Offensive controls include basic movement, dribble, shoot, layup, pass, and sprint. All these moves are performed with just one button. Players will use the left stick to move their avatars. The right stick is reserved for dribbles. To shoot, players simply need to use the square button. If players are located near the basket and they hold the square button, then they will execute a layup. Passing is achieved with the cross button. To sprint, players will have to hold the R2 button. 

Defensive controls include movement, assists, steal, switch player, icon switch, and block. Normal movement is done with the left stick. Players will press and hold the L2 button if they wish to make a defensive assist or a deny ball move. The square button is used for steal and deflect moves. Those who want to do a block or rebound will use the triangle button. Players can be switched using the cross button. Icon switch is performed by pressing and holding the R1 button and square, triangle, circle, or the L1 button. 

There are six types of dribble moves: crossover, behind the back, hesitation, in and out, spin, and modifier. A crossover is performed by moving the right stick in the opposite direction from the hand that has the ball. If players move the stick in the other direction, towards the hand that holds the ball, they will perform a hesitation dribble. A behind the back dribble is achieved with the right stick and a half circle. In and out is done by flicking the right stick. For a spin dribble, players will have to hold the R2 button and make a downwards half circle with the right stick.
