MUST SEE RED CARPET LOOKS FROM GRAMMY AWARDS

by Kaira SIngh Marketer

Grammy’s is indeed the most awaited night of the year, not just because it is the night where our favourite music stars are being honoured, it also the night to see our favourite music stars dressed in the most daring, dramatic, and out of the box looking dresses. No wonder how much thought goes into designing the dresses that walk down the red carpet (rocket science appears simpler in that respect). There are a lot of crazy and bold designs that come up in every season of Grammy's and it is just impossible to believe how these designs successfully beat the crazy out of the previous year’s designs. Let’s see some of the most unusual yet amazing dresses that walked the red carpet of Grammy’s 2019.

·         Cardi B in her wafting vintage design by Mugler couture.

An exemplary artist like her, Cardi B has never failed to impress her audience with her offbeat ideas and style when it comes to both her songs and her dressing style. This season she pulled off classic vintage couture from Mugler’s collection making her look like an absolute pearl in a literal sense. A combination of sheer pink and black, the dress ran down her waist giving an appearance of her emerging like a pearl from the oyster. In fact, her body suit was actually bejewelled with pearls, which she smarty coupled with a headgear made of pearls. She effortlessly turned every head in the show with her dazzling look in the crowd. In one of the Instagram posts of the designer, she has called the dress ‘the pink duchess and satin velvet venus sheath dress.’

·         Kylie Jenner in her light pink jumpsuit with white wheels.

Kylie Jenner, who remains the talk of the town every now and then, rocked the event in her elaborate yet not so elaborate pink jumpsuit. It is actually a two piece set designed by one of Kyle’s favourite designers Balmain. A gorgeous collective pale pink in colour along with featured built-in gloves gave the star a fashionable, elegant, and sophisticated look.

·         Katy Perry in her sleeveless gown.

Katy Perry has always proven to be a bold and wild dress when it comes to big events like Grammys. She makes sure that every eye is on her when she walks the damn red carpet. This is the year she continued the legacy with her wild look in a sleeveless gown. A perfect combination of silver top and a pink bottom ruffling from her waist, the dress flowed perfectly on Katy’s body giving her the boldest and wild look in the event. With her short hairstyle and the off shoulder appearance, she didn’t just look pretty, but she even charmed the smart look.

·         Jennifer Lopez in her all-white ensemble.

Je-Lo doesn’t really need a perfect dress to mark her presence in any event, her name is enough. Yet she managed to wear one of the most graceful and stylish dresses in the event. Her white ensemble by Ralph & Russo, perfectly bedazzled at just the right spots gave her an eye turning look in the show. The halter style neckline, with a gazillion glittery embellishments matched with her oddly yet perfectly oversized white hat, almost stole the show.

·         Heidi Klum in her white minidress with flowing shoulders.

No one else but Heidi Klum could have managed to pull a mini dress such elaborate sleeves and shoulder. A dress defining her perfect shape with the flowing structured design on her shoulders indeed gave her the look of an angel from heaven. She very smartly paired the silver accents on her dress with her metallic heels, a clutch, and some fantastic jewellery by Lorraine Schwartz.

·         Jada Pinkett in her pale pink gown.

Jada Pinkett wore a very unique pale pink gown that gave her a look different from the entire crowd. Her pink gown with featured dazzling embroidery at the sides gave it a sparkly appearance. To top it all the dress had a feather trial that looked just breathtakingly fantastic.

·         Tayla Parx in her theatrical pink dress.

Tayla Parx walked the red carpet in the most dramatic pink dress one could have ever seen. Having a confetti-like outlook all over the dress, she casually paired it up with purple and pink sneakers with sparkling bobby pins in her hair. Indeed her look was a melodramatic combination of couture and casual.

·         Saint Heart in her eye-catching multi-coloured dress.

Saint's heart gave a beautiful and majestic appearance in her colourful designer dress. If one looks carefully, the design has been inspired by a butterfly, where her trail is like the wings of the butterfly and Saint Heart herself is like the body of the butterfly.

·         Janelle Monae in her beating-the-odds dress.

Having a colour combination of wine and white, Janelle Monae rocked the red carpet with her head turning dress this time. With her fancy headgear and the structured shoulders, she looked as if she walked straight out of a very classy and sexy sci-fi movie.

·         Tierra Whack in her multi coloured coat over a print dress.

Tierra Whack was another one to wear a head-turning dress in the Grammys this year. She wore a graffiti-inspired printed dress, which gave a 3D appearance. She paired it up with a multi-coloured fur overcoat which just enunciated her bold look even more. Her look just added a hint of right colour to the red carpet. Her bold pink eye shadow made her look even better.

·         Maren Morris in her Semi Sheer gown.

Maren Morris looked absolutely gorgeous in her semi-sheer gown with a trail flowing down from her neck. The dress had a bright yellow coloured collar to give the dress a pop of colour, which she excellently paired with bright yellow heels. Also, the backless feature and the metallic belt on her waist gave the dress a different definition altogether.
