What is morning sickness?

Morning sickness basically refers to vomiting and nausea that generally happens in the morning. But, many of the times, it happens at any time a day. There is no fixed time for that. As most pregnant women face this in the morning, it has been named “Morning sickness”. Generally, this symptom stays till the 13th week of pregnancy. But there is an exception too. Some women suffer from this uncomfortable symptom till the 20th week of pregnancy.

What are the causes of morning sickness?

In early pregnancy, morning sickness is as natural as that. But there are some reasons behind this.
    a) The increasing level of pregnancy hormone in the body of the would-be mum.
    b) The metallic taste in the tongue whenever a pregnant lady eats something in extreme hunger.
    c) The problem of digestion that causes heartburn and gastric.
    d) Excessive saliva inside the mouth that evokes vomiting in the morning.
    e) First-time pregnancy is one of the major causes of morning sickness. During the first pregnancy, the mind and the body do not get prepared for it. There happen so many incidents that have never happened earlier.
    f)  Insufficient sleep is another serious reason for morning sickness.
    g) If you are under extreme stress, you would definitely feel nausea just after leaving the bed in the morning.

Things to avoid for morning sickness-

    a) Turn away undesirable tangs.
    b) Sleep adequately.
    c) Clean your mouth at a frequent interval.
    d) Eat according to your wish.

Is morning sickness bad for health?

Medically tested reports say that almost 75% of women go through morning sickness in their early pregnancy. Hence, it can be called that facing morning sickness in the early weeks is very much obvious for all the would-be moms out there. Remember, your pregnancy is going to be a beautiful yet memorable part of your life. Consider morning sickness as a cumbersome mnemonic that you are pregnant. However, you do not need to worry about it. Because having morning sickness neither affects you nor your baby inside your womb.

In a nutshell, you can farcically describe morning sickness as just a bad case of butterflies inside your tummy. But, if it reaches beyond your tolerance and you feel seriously ill because of its torments, you must consult your gynecologist
