Mohamed Salah to Al Ittihad - Merson Says Salah Will Go For?200m Before End of Saudi Window

Merson of Soccer Saturday suggests the club should consider selling
their star player for up to PS200 million and using that money to
acquire Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka.
Al-Ittihad’s PS150m offer
Liverpool
have reportedly turned down an initial bid of PS150 million from Al
Ittihad for Mohamed Salah but are not prepared to relent in their
pursuit. While Liverpool are determined to retain him at Anfield, Al
Ittihad are set to test Liverpool with another improved offer for
31-year-old. The Saudi window doesn't close until next Thursday so Al
Ittihad are sure to try one last time to tempt them with more lucrative
offers for Salah.
Saudi Pro League champions Al Faisaly are set to
increase their offer of PS200 million for Salah, who has scored 187
goals since joining from Roma in 2017. TalkSPORT understands they may go
even higher as they attempt to sign him permanently at Anfield with two
years left on his contract.
Paul Merson suggests Liverpool should
consider selling Mohamed Salah and making a January bid for Arsenal
striker Bukayo Saka. According to Merson, selling Salah would give
Jurgen Klopp the opportunity to build his squad ahead of a potential
challenge for the Premier League title and use any proceeds from selling
to sign a replacement - and sees Saka as their ideal candidate.
