Christmas is only days away and excitement is definitely in
the air. At this time of year we normally have a number of parties, winding
down with work colleagues and catching up with friends. Social engagements are
always a good excuse to wear new outfits and feel good about ourselves.
Here are some great modern women’s clothing ideas to
consider for the festival season.
Slip Skirts
We’ve all heard of slip dresses which were big in the 90s,
but now gaining popularity are slip skirts. They are a bit more conservative
than their retro counterparts but helps slim your body shape while still
revealing enough to onlookers. Looks great on the modern woman with a casual
tee shirt.
Flatform Shoes
No you didn’t hear me incorrectly, I didn’t say platform
shoes. Flatforms are the new replacement for high heels as more women are
getting sick of tolerating pain to look good. Enough blisters and sore arches,
flatforms give you extra height in a modern trendy way.

Flyte Jumpsuit
The jumpsuit is huge right now with more and more younger girls
embracing the look. Hilary and Oprah may have pioneered the look but modern
fashionistas are taking it to the next level. Wide necks and invisible zips
make them easy to put on, and a waist tie can give you more flexibility in how
you wear it. Our favourite jumpsuits can be found at Elk stockist
Fudge. They have a range of modern woman’s clothing and fashion that is perfect for the
festive season.
Bike Shorts
A few years ago we may have made fun of women wearing bike
shorts outside of going to the gym (or riding a bike). But now they are
becoming not only acceptable but on point. Designers have come out with some
great looking bike shorts which have blurred the lines between sportswear and streetwear.
Very comfortable, which is becoming a trend in itself lately when it comes to
women’s clothing.
Leopard Print anything
Big in the 1980s, the leopard print has gone full circle and
is now back in fashion! It is a lot less offensive that the olden days and very
popular in skirts, blouses and other relaxed fit clothing. Which means turning
up to an 80s dress up party has never been easier!
As well as embracing any of these fashion styles to wear
over Christmas, they also make great gift ideas.
