Management Courses to Study in Singapore

The Institutes of Higher Learning in Singapore offers astounding courses in Management with joint internships or training programmes. What students require is a valid entry pass to the country or a study abroad student visa. Any international student intending to pursue a full-time higher education in Singapore should issue Singapore student visa, also called a student pass.

Given in this article is a brief account of management courses preferred by the international students.

Tourism and Hospitality Management

Hospitality and Tourism are pretty much different from each other as tourism involves guiding clients through the visiting places, arranging tour packages, travel tickets, booking hotels, etc. whereas hospitality is oriented towards client care, comfort and well-being. A wonderful opportunity to travel to other countries, get an experience while pursuing studies overseas. You might pursue Master’s in Tourism and Hospitality Management offered at Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) or go for a post-graduate diploma delivered by Nanyang Institute of Management. Both the programmes differ in many aspects. Within a year of the master’s course you’ll see your personality transformed and a 6 months internship is an add-on to your portfolio. The PG Diploma is for professionals and graduates irrespective of the background. Students can either choose part-time studies of one year with 6 months of integrated industrial training or full-time studies of 6 months plus 6 months of training.

Master of Science Management

University of Birmingham in affiliation with Singapore Institute of Management is offering Master of Science degree in Management. This one-year programme is focused towards building managerial skills in students. The students can choose to study a mix of these courses- Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Organisational Leadership and Change and Strategy. A career guidance workshop is open for enrolment to students to prepare them for the job.

Programme and Project Management

Any student enrolled in Programme and Project Management course gets to learn about the core project planning, the tools and strategies involved in the business management process along with optional tasks like financial analysis, people and performance management, etc. The students can also choose to study supply chain management, logistics, inventory management and several others. This course is offered as one-year full-time and two-year part-time programme depending upon the capability and choice of students. The degree is awarded by the University of Warwick of the United Kingdom.

Global MBA

This 12-months master programme is offered to professionals with 3+ years of work experience. It requires full-time engagement for successful completion of the course. Part-time MBA is offered at Singapore campus for professional’s enrolling in Executive MBA programme, only.

International Hospitality Management and Leadership

Explore the leader inside you through International Hospitality Management and Leadership master programme delivered by East Asia Institute of Management, Singapore campus. The international graduates can choose either full-time or part-time programme, both spanning for a year. Lead through and learn to deal with real-life complex problems during the course. You may apply for February 2020 intake!
