Making Memorable and Easy Garlic Shrimp Pasta

by Rob J. Quality Links

Seafood Pasta

Everyone loves pasta, and seafood pasta is one of the most popular choices. Garlic shrimp pasta is an especially great option, especially if you want to feel like a chef at home. It's a delicious and fairly easy meal to prepare. Buying creamy garlic shrimp in advance is a smart choice since it gives you a well-seasoned main ingredient that's already prepared and ready to cook.

Putting Everything Together

Normally, the first step would be to clean, peel, and devein the shrimp. With creamy garlic shrimp already in the box and ready to go, you can skip that step. Instead, simply preheat your oven to 425°F. Add broccoli, bell pepper, a little olive oil, and some salt and pepper to taste. This should all go together on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake the vegetables, oil, and seasoning for around 15-20 minutes. Once the vegetables begin to brown, you know they're ready. After they're cooked, you can drain and keep them warm. Set them aside and cover them until you need them.

For the shrimp, you can opt for the skillet or the microwave. The microwave is probably the easiest option. Place half the package of frozen shrimp in a single layer inside of a microwave-safe bowl. Cover it with a paper towel and cook on high for 4 minutes. After the shrimp is cooked, let it sit at least a minute before serving. If you prefer the skillet, preheat a medium-sized skillet on medium-high heat. Be sure to arrange the frozen shrimp evenly in the skillet. Saute the shrimp for 8-10 minutes. You can test them with a fork to see if they're fully cooked. Stir occasionally to ensure they're properly cooked.

Ready to Serve

To serve, divide you're cooked and drained pasta between two bowls. Top the pasta with the roasted vegetables and your cooked creamy garlic shrimp. You can serve the pasta with lemon wedges or with any sides that you may have prepared as well.  When everything is put together, you should have a tasty and impressive meal that doesn't take too much work to make.

With a little help from your creamy garlic shrimp, crafting a gorgeous garlic shrimp pasta meal doesn't have to take too much effort. If you want to kick things up a bit or toss in some extra flavor, you could even opt for bacon pasta. Either way, it's sure to impress.
