Madden NFL 21 – The Ultimate Team Mode

by Harry Williams Manager

Sports enthusiasts show their valor not just on the sports ground but in sports games too. The tactics they use in a game can prove beneficial if simulated in real life. Playing sports games enhances the creativity and tactical abilities in you. The spontaneity and lifelike visuals that sports video games offer today are remarkable. You can strategize according to your planning that seldom happens in real team sports. Also, it inculcates leadership spirit in you. So, if any such opportunity comes your way in real life, you know how to use it.

Madden NFL 21

Madden NFL (National Football League) 21 is one such thrilling sports game that has two modes. One is The Yard, the latest one, and the Superstar KO mode developed last year. Like previous Madden NFL 20, Superstar KO mode is a sudden death mode, and every player gets hold of one thing. In NFL 21, a casual game mode is a new development that surpasses the Superstar KO mode.

An 80-yard field starts the Yard mode, where teams of six players compete with each other. Either you can team up with your friends or play against the computer. Also, you can compete against the players present online. You can throw unlimited forward passes or pass the ball to your teammates. For first down, you have to move the ball 20 yards – the scoring system spices up the game. You have to score a touchdown from different yard lines for conversions of one, two, or three points. Score bonus points by passing the balls as many times as you can. This game is relatively brief and lasts for around 20-25 minutes, but the thrilling moments it creates within a short span will make you play it again and again.

Franchise, one of the familiar modes of NFL 21, has not been improved. The single-player mode in Franchise is becoming monotonous now. Since Superstar KO and The Yard modes have shown some improvements, people expect some amendments in Franchise. The storyline of the game keeps you intrigued throughout. It starts with a flashback where you are narrating your journey to a sports reporter. Your journey began from high school, where you face an audacious brat Tommy. As the story progresses, you are picked for one of the NCAA programs. Teamed up with your frenemy Tommy, you play as Quarterback in the junior year. The story took a nasty turn when you were asked to bench despite winning the College Football semifinal. But soon, you are selected for the NFL and embark on a professional journey.

In Ultimate Team mode, you have to collect the cards. The Ultimate team asks you to spend money to collect cards that seem quite unfair. It is quite dull to play in this mode as it requires you to perform tasks related to managing the players rather than engaging in infield play. Improvising every player’s team and features is a mundane task that involves the art of customization rather than showing any sports-related skills. But it does involve some solo challenges that are quite addictive and relate you to the basic moves. You can either play these solo challenges with the CPU or online.

Apart from all this, NFL 21 exhibits far more prominent game modes than its previous versions. This latest version has more challenges to pass. The defenders have become smarter and keep sharp eyes on the ball carriers. Open field tackling includes advanced animations and more realistic tackles. Your moves have become more evasive to make cuts in the field to dodge defenders. Side hurdles and dead legs are two new moves for the offenders. You can now move left and right that will prove helpful if you are running along the sidelines.

Madden NFL 21 will let you play a football video game with less technical disturbances. No doubt, it is far better than its previous version. Some tiny issues come in kicking. Even if the ball hits you at the back, you cannot turn back to look at it. Trouble might occur while switching to a larger picture that might lead to the reloading of the page. The game gets stuck sometimes after finishing a match. But all these issues will resolve with one update.
