21st century is the century of being fit. With more work pressure and shoddy lifestyle, there is a quick shift to yoga, exercise and zumba. Such cut-throat competition at work, and no work balance is leading to lifestyle and metabolic related diseases. Heart-related issues begin as early as in the age of 40. There is a quick need to ammend some changes in our lifestyle. From eating habits to sleeping schedule everything is disturbed in this fast paced life. A dedicated hour has to be given to the body for relaxation and well being. Exercises at home can be a wonderful option for the same. But just getting an spin bike won’t solve the purpose. The right posture, warm-ups and cool down are as essential as working out. Some beginners in the adrenal rush start exercising way too much, beyond the control of their body and ultimately leave the work out sessions. To avoid such scenarios, following are some key points to be kept in mind while starting a workout.


Warm up 

Having a warm-up session is as essential as using the spin bike. Mostly, beginners ignore the warm-up and the body is unable to control the rigorous pressure, which lead to injuries. Warm-up is essential as it prepares the body for the exercise and helps in handling the intense workouts.

 

Consultation

Before starting any new exercise, it is best to know about any conditions that one suffers from. Any wrong posture can leads to bone displacement or ligament damage. So it is best to consult the doctor first and make the necessary adjustments when you buy spin bike. Adjustments could be related to the height of the seat, the seat foam, the handles of bike etc.

 

Workout duration

Remember, as beginners it is best to slowly accustom the body with the workout. A sudden intense workout would be tough on the body and the toning and weight loss won’t be regular. It is best to start slowly and then begin with the intense workout. It is wise to start two to three days a week and then five days a week.

 

Cool down

Cool down sessions are as important as warm up sessions. The minimum time for a cool down session must be at least 5 minutes. In this, the body and the muscles should be in relaxed state and should be given some time to get over the intense workout. While on an spin bike, the pedalling should be done with the same pace with which the warm-up was done.

 

Exercise isn’t something that can be decided within one day. A lot of hard work goes into making the body fitter and healthier. Hard work is just till it becomes a habit, once a habit the body would always want to pedal the exercise bike.
