Learn the general information about Tianshi Mansion on Longhu Mountain

The Tianshi Mansion of Longhu Mountain is near Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province. It was listed by the State Council as one of the key national temples of Taoism in the area of Han nationality.
 
The landscape of Longhu Mountain is very special and miraculous. Tianshi Tao (the Celestial Masters Sect) of Taoism selected the mountain as its cultivation base, and most of the celestial masters lived here during the past dynasties. So Longhu Mountain is called the 32nd Happy Land of Taoism, and it had considerable influence in the history of Taoism.

The Tianshi Mansion is the most famous building of Longhu Mountain, and the celestial masters of the past dynasties lived here. The Tianshi Mansion has a grand scale, covering an area of 220,000 square meters. The main buildings include the Sanyi Gate, the Sanxing Hall and the Wanfazong Hall, etc. It not only maintains a high status in the Taoism field, but also possesses many cultural relics. The most famous one is the copper bell weighing 4,999.5 kilograms cast by the celestial masters of the 40th generation in 1351.
 Longhu Mountain can be classified as typical Danxia Landform in China.There are 99 peaks, 24 cliffs, 108 natural and cultural scenic spots, and over20 legendary wells and pools, among which springs and falls are scattered, adding enchanting beauty to the Resort. Like a jade ribbon, Luxi River stretches itself from south to north, linking Shangqing Palace, Heavenly Master's Residence, Longhu Mountain, Fairy Water Cliff and other spots. Surrounded by scenic hills and springs, the ten major beauties in the core area indeed seem more refreshing and exciting.
 
Built in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period,
the Cliff Tombs here can date back to 2600 years ago. Known as a natural archeological museum which is very rare in China even in the
world, the Tombs have attained a worldwide fame for their long history, large scale, rich antiques, and unique shapes.
 
Shangqing Palace in Shangqing Old Town Scenic Area, first built in East Han Dynasty, is the place for Tian Shi to pray and the place where all gods received their official ranks. It was as large as the royal palace, but one Chi (about 1.094 feet) lower to show the respect for the royal prerogative.

Apart from the sacred place for Taoism, Dragon and Tiger Mountain is also full of beautiful and special landscapes. As a typical Danxia landform characterized by its cliffy scarp, the red terrestrial clastic rock can be seen everywhere in Celestial Water Rock Scenic Area. There are a total of ninety-nine peaks, twenty-four boulders, one hundred and eight natural and artificial sights and over twenty wells, ponds, streams and waterfalls. 'Ten cannot' rocks in this area are famous for the vivid guise and attractive stories. They are: the nun carrying monk cannot pass by; the jade comb that cannot comb the hair; the water lily that cannot be wore; the test-sword stone that cannot be put to the test; the celestial peach that cannot be eaten; the stone drum that cannot be beat; the splendid silk that cannot be wrapped; the fairy cannot be married; the scoop that cannot be used and the Taoism Hall that people cannot sit in. Sitting in a raft and drifting in the winding Lu Xi River which meanders westwards through the whole mountain area and links sights scattered along the banks, visitors can take in all the beautiful scenes, blue skies, white clouds, green water and red mountains.
