Learn something about Mencius Temple
Southern of Qufu, in the township of Zoucheng Nation and just western of the Property of Mencius, is the Mencius Forehead (Meng miao). Mencius, a popular thinker and instructor in the Warring Declares Interval (475-221 BC) and a disciple of Confucius, obtained the popularity of being the "second holy personage". After his loss of life, Mencius was hidden in the suv place of the City of Zhou.
Originally designed beside his grave in the Northern Music Empire (1037 AD), the temple was shifted to its existing website and extended to its existing range in 1121 AD, during the Ming Empire. The Forehead is a complicated of five courtyards with completely 64 places, 4 wood made homes and one rock home. All the designs were designed on a south-north axis symmetrically, with the Aspect of the Second Sacred Personage at the middle. The top side portion of the temple includes 20 little courtyards.
