Laser Weapons to Be Built in India

by Rohit Kumar Marketing Executive
India is now preparing to build laser attack weapons. These weapons are called direct energy weapons (direct energy weapon-DEW). Besides these, weapons are also being created which will be able to destroy the enemy's electronic, radio systems, communication systems, etc., leaving microwave rays. When the communication system is broken during the war, the enemy becomes very weak in the event of not directing its army and it is easy to take advantage of it to attack it. How long it will take to make these weapons is not known, but the project is planned to be completed by fixing the target. National Hindi News and UP Hindi News with latest update.

In fact, in this era of changing technology, the methods of war and the weapons used are also changing. Instead of the older generation, the attacking weapons are now developing from afar. Electronic and computer software based weapons have been developed in the last two decades. The system fitted in sophisticated fighter aircraft is also electronic chip or software based. Therefore, in the coming time, the modalities of war will be more modern, using high-energy weapons. Just as the use of weapons is shown in Hollywood films, India is now preparing to make similar weapons. All this is happening on the basis of the hypothesis under which the dream of creating a ' self-reliant India ' has been dreamt of. The chief of the military forces, CDS Bipin Rawat has also supported defence reforms to indigenize the country's military industry and shape defence corridors.

According to Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) sources, the Government of India has set up a national level programme to build these weapons. It will have different kinds of direct energy weapons with a capacity of 100 kw power. That is, through these future weapons, any enemy's small missile, fighter jet or drone can be destroyed in the sky, which will exempt the enemy's sweat before attacking India. These weapons include high energy lasers and high power microwaves. These weapons can be attacked or defended up to several kilometres away by deploying them in one place. The laser or electromagic rays emanating from it, sub-atomic particles or microwave rays will make the enemy in seconds. There is no sound or explosion from their exit to the hit, so the enemy does not know the attack.

The Indian Army needs a laser weapon of at least 500 kw to destroy a missile. DRDO has prepared a plan for the next 10 years in view of future needs. In the first phase, the range of 6-8 kms and then the second phase is ready to be made up to 20 kms of attacking weapons. The Indian forces will need 20 high power electromagnetic coating systems in the first phase which will be of a range of 6-8 kms. The second phase will become a high power electromagnetic vepan system with a range of 20 kms. These weapons are difficult to avoid the enemy because their target is very precise. These laser weapons can be handled simultaneously with multiple targets alone. It can be used several times when the power supply is found correct. It is not that the construction of these weapons costs more, but the experts point out that they can be operational at a very economical cost.

DRDO has named this project as ' Kali ' beam as there is no sound in the laser beam attack. These rays quietly penetrate their targets and burn it. In the recent past, India had created two anti-drone systems which were deployed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech from the ramparts of the Red Fort on Independence Day. Their target range is one to two kilometres. Though these indigenous weapons are still extremely small compared to the US, Russia, China, Germany, Israel, more than one drone, vehicle or boats can be destroyed.
