Kraft Shredded Paper Will Still Be Relevant In Business Recovery

by Liz Seyi Digital marketing manager

It seems that we’re entering what could be termed the “squeaky bum” stage of the coronavirus pandemic, when there is genuine hope of the crisis coming to some kind of end – but also much lingering uncertainty.

What do we mean by that? Well, we’ve been fortunate enough to enjoy what has generally been much better news about the pandemic in recent months – although given the reports of climbing infection rates once again, we also know that it’s not “all over” yet.

A greater emphasis on online retail is seemingly here to stay

For businesses, the summer so far has been a source of much-needed respite, as many of them have been able to reopen brick-and-mortar venues again. And if you’re reading this, there’s a fair chance that as a business owner, you will have greatly heightened your emphasis on online sales since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak.

The statistics, after all, tell their own story: while the UK’s Internet sales as a percentage of total retail sales was 19.1% in February 2020, this shot up to a peak of more than a third during the lockdowns of later 2020 and early 2021. The most recent figures still show that plenty of us have become a lot more accustomed to shopping online since the COVID crisis started.

Let’s put it another way: those habits that you may have learned to embrace as an online business owner – including, perhaps, if you are an eBay seller or someone else selling goods to customers over the Internet – are likely to stay useful for a while yet.

Kraft shredded paper that will serve you well for a long time to come

You might have invested a lot of time since the start of the COVID pandemic investing heavily in your business’s online presence, and ensuring you can quickly and safely dispatch products to your customers who may be situated right across the UK... and even beyond.

In the process, you might have also discovered that kraft shredded paper – like our own – is so much better than traditional alternatives, such as tissue paper or bubble wrap, for packaging and protecting your customers’ items in transit.

Not only does our shredded kraft paper look really cool – as you’ll have appreciated if you have browsed our broad selection of both straight cut and zig zag paper in various colours – but it also offers important practical benefits. It can provide robust protection for all manner of goods your business might send through the mail, but also won’t be crushed by heavier items, as can be an issue with tissue paper.

Another way in which our kraft shredded paper differs from many of the time-honoured alternatives, is its eco-friendliness. We hold Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certifications, and can offer you attractive-looking shredded paper that is reusable, recyclable and biodegradable. Even the packaging we’ll send your shredded paper in will be repurposed or reused – showing that we practise what we preach!

So, don’t presume that just because the worst of the coronavirus crisis might (we hope) be behind us, everything else will go back to the “way it was” – and that includes the popularity and relevance of kraft shredded paper for all manner of businesses.

Our paper is here to stay – for all manner of customers of ours, it’s not a mere ‘niche’ or ‘novelty’ packaging option, but instead the first one they choose!
