The main reason to create GCC-High is to meet the needs of DoD cloud and federal contractors that need to provide strength to the cybersecurity As Well AS The compliance requirements of NIST 800-171, FedRAMP High, and ITAR, or who will need to manage the CUI/CDI.

Technically, GCC-High is just like a copy of DoD cloud. But GCC-High exists in its sovereign environment.

DoD is an enterprise cloud environment composed of a general-purpose cloud and multiple fit-for-purpose clouds. In addition, DoD clouds have tactical edge capabilities, which empower the warfighter also when disconnected.
