Karnataka Post Graduate College’s Association is conducting its common entrance exam for MBA/PGDM 2016. Karnataka Management aptitude test (KMAT 2016) offers admission in more than 170 B-Schools affiliating AICTE approved programmes. KMAT is governed and administered by Karnataka Post Graduate College’s Association, KMAT is the last common entrance exam of the year.

Important Dates for KMAT 2016

  • Registration opens  :- Monday , April 11, 2016               
  • Registration closes  :- Tuesday, May 10, 2016
  • Admit card download  :- Friday, May 20, 2016
  • Test date :- Sunday, May 29, 2016
  • Result date :- Friday, June 10, 2016

Eligibility Criteria (MBA/PGDM) For KMAT 2016

Bachelor’s degree with at least three years duration/ Master’s degree from any recognised education body in Commerce, Management, Arts,  Social Sciences, Engineering / Technology or equivalent having 55% of marks, 40% for SC/ST candidates. Candidates appearing in their third year of graduation can also apply.

Registration & Fees of KMAT 2016

There are two methods of registration, online and offline. Online registration starts from 11 April on KMAT website. For offline registration form needs to be downloaded and filled, registration fees is RS. 550. Demand draft should be drawn in the name of yyyy and reach yyyy  by May 10(The details for as to in whose name demand draft has to be drawn will be given in this year’s prospectus) . Credit card and other modes of payment are accepted for online registration. Registration closes on May 10.

Structure of Exam and Syllabus Of KMAT 2016

KMAT 2016 Exam will be conducted on 29 May between 10 AM TO 12 PM. Reporting time is 9 AM. it will be a paper pen based test. There will be 120 multiple choice questions comprising of four sections. One may attend the section in the order of their choice. Each correct answer carries four marks and one mark will be deducted for incorrect answer. There will be four segments as follows, English language and comprehension, mathematical skills, logical reasoning and general awareness. Each section contains 30 questions of 120 marks. Total paper will be of 480 marks.

KMAT 2016 Exam Centres

The test will be held in six different cities of Karnataka. Candidates need to fill their choice of city among the available options. Following are the cities in which exam will be held, Mangalore, Mysore, Hubli, Bellary, Gullabarga, Bangalore.

KMAT 2016 Result

The result will be announced on 10 June, 2016. The result will be announced online and will also be uploaded on official website of KMAT. The score card will also be sent via post. In case the candidate does not receives his or her score card after 15 days of announcement of result, he/ she can contact KMAT office.
