Karnataka PGCET 2016 - Complete Details
Karnataka PGCET 2016 will be conducted in the 2nd week of August 2016 to offer admission to interested and eligible candidates in MBA program. Various private and public b-schools and management institutes will offer admission on their respective available seats on the basis of merit obtained in the examination. The application form to apply for the exam will be released only online in the 1st week of July 2016. The exam will be held for 2 hours and contain 75 questions in total. There will be two parts of the paper – part 1 (50 questions of 1 mark each) and part 2 (25 questions of 2 marks each). Language medium of the question paper will be English. Only those candidates will be able to appear in the exam that have filled the application form successfully and paid the application fee. Admit card of the exam will also be released online only which will require of providing some basic details to download.

Karnataka PGCET 2016 Eligibility Criteria
• Candidate must hail from Karnataka and should possess domicile of the state.
• He must have passed in graduation degree (or diploma of at least 3 years) with a minimum of 50% marks aggregate (45% for SC, ST and Category-I candidates).
• It is compulsory for the candidates to have studied in the state for a minimum of seven years from Class I to the qualifying exam.
Karnataka PGCET 2016 Application Form
Candidates must first register by entering some basic details. On successful registration, they will be given an ID and password. Using these details, further login into the account can be done. Next, they must fill rest of the application form with personal (name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, category, and state domicile) educational qualification (qualifying exam year, board, and percentage/ CGPA), and correspondence details (email ID, phone number, mobile number, and address). Scanned images in proper format and resolution must also be uploaded. Finally, candidates have to download the e-challan to pay the application fee of Rs.650 (Rs.500 for reserved candidates). Payment can be done at any branch of State Bank of Mysore or at any E-Payment Post Offices. The details of transaction must be updated in the application form before finally submitting and printing it.

Exam will be conducted for duration of 120 minutes. The language of the question paper will be English. There would be two parts of the question paper – part 1 will contain 50 questions of 1 mark each and part 2 will contain 25 questions of 2 marks each. Permission to leave the exam hall before the set duration ends will not be given.
Karnataka PGCET 2016 Admit Card
The candidates with successful submission of the application form will be able to download the admit card from 1st week of August 2016 onwards. They have to access the official website and enter some basic details to download it. Thereafter, it must be printed and brought to the exam hall along with a valid photo ID proof. The permission to take the exam will be granted only when candidate produces these required documents.
