About JAC
Jharkhand state came into being on 15 November 2000. The Jharkhand State Legislature constituted an Act to organize the Jharkhand Academic Council, which was agreed upon by the Governor of the State on 26 December 2003. This was also known as Jharkhand Academic Council Act on 02 July 2003.
With the endowment of the Jharkhand Academic Council, the Bihar Intermediate Education Council Act, 1992, the Bihar School Examination Board Act, 1952, Bihar Sanskrit Education Board Act, 1981 (adapted as Jharkhand Secondary Examination Board Act, 2000) & Bihar Board of Madrasa Education Board Acts, 1981 were abolished.
