Italian top-flight tournament Serie A may restart in May.
Serie A to be back "as soon as conditions are right"
That was the announcement made by Italian Football Federation president Gabriele Gravina who also proposed that all league players be tested for coronavirus the same month.
The league was shut down last March 9 as the deadly Covid-19 pandemic struck Italy and across Europe.
There is no definite date though when the league will return. There are 12 full rounds set to be played, with Juventus and Lazio dueling for the title race.
Gravina, in an interview with Sky Sports Italia, said they will finish the championship ``as soon as the conditions are right.’’
A number of Serie A players have tested positive for coronavirus amongst them Paulo Dybala, Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matudi.
