  • Bachelor in Computer Application

 

It is an undergraduate course. The eligibility required for admission in BCA colleges is, you need to pass 10+2 from a recognized board, any stream but with English. 

The duration of the course is 3 years divided into 6 semesters. With this degree, you can get recruited in IT and Software Companies. 

 

  • Master in Computer Application

 

It is 3 years long post-graduation program that one can pursue after 10+12 and graduation in BCA/BSc/ BCom/BA. The program includes topics like statistics, cloud computing, mobile technologies, financial accounting,  network and database management, mathematics, electronics, Java programming, etc.

The career options for an MCA are App Developer, Project Manager, Ethical Hacker, Mobile Developer,  Web Developer, Software Consultant, Trouble Shooter, etc.

 

  • B.Tech Information Technology

 

It is a 4 years undergraduate program. The eligibility required is that one needs to pass 10+2 from a recognized board.  It’s quite different from computer science because it has fewer maths and focuses on information science & management.

 

  • B.Tech Computer Science

 

It is a 4 years undergraduate course, one can apply for after 10+2. The admission process for this course is through entrance exams like JEE, CUSATCAT, TANCET,  SET, etc. Career options with this degree are System Analyst, Testing Engineer, Software Engineer, and Technical Support.

 

  • Post Graduation Diploma in Computer Application

 

It is 1 year-long professional course that one can do after formal education of 10, +2 and 4 years graduation/ PG. Students with this degree can get hired as Programmer, Tech Consultant, Web Designer, Oracle Developer, Graphic Designer, Software Designer, etc.
