The Netflix show ‘Frontier’ is a creation of Peter Blackie and Rob Blackie. The Canadian action-drama falls in the historical television genre. The original languages of the show are English and Cree. The first season came out in November 2016. By far, we have had 18 episodes in the series. The locations used by the production house are Newfoundland and Labrador in North Canada, Nova Scotia in Canada, Ontario in Canada, and Cornwall in the United Kingdom

By now, there has been talk but no official announcement related to the upcoming season. The production team has remained tight-lipped and reserved about it. Fans are being forced to be as patient as possible and wait for an update from some source. The crew’s lack of trailer or renewals points to a possibility of cancellation of an upcoming season.

The show tells the tale of the 18th-century fur industry that had its rampant repercussions on the environment and the animal lives. The protagonist Declan is a half Irish Half Cree chap who is constantly battling with the entire fur trading business around him. In the seasons one to three, the makers portray an attempt to break down the company of Declan, a corrupt and monopolizing giant. In this ongoing battle, Declan feels his support from friends and family slipping away. Tremendous bloodshed took place when the crusaders collapsed and the last episode with the title “The Sins of Father” was reliant on the Harp invasion. The third season was shot with a dingy atmosphere amongst all the viewers

The last season ended on a cliffhanger and left the audience with a lot of looming questions. They hoped that the next season might solve all their queries.

The first season was released in November 2016 and gained a 50-50 review, but the later seasons released in 2017 and 2018, respectively, landed a whopping rating of 82% positive reviews.

The new anticipated season may compromise Greg Bryk, Jason Momoa, Zoe Boyle, Jessica Mattern, Landon Liboiron, Alun Armstrong, and Shawn Doyle as the lead roles. Netflix may end up adding more cast members, but the looming issue still stands that there has not been any official announcement yet. But there has been a photograph leak that the fans believe is from the shoot of the new season. The entire aura of curiosity that the makers worked so hard to build may have been rendered pointless.
