Is Apple preparing to launch its own search engine?

by Charlie Harry digital marketing company
They say the rumors are usually more attractive than it really is. But now we're talking about a particularly intriguing speculation-that Apple might try to launch a search engine-that could have consequences in the real world the game is changing. And although this Digital Marketing Agencies in Newcastle  time a little more than a rumor, he has some interesting causes:

Apple has posted several job postings for search functions, including AI, machine learning and natural language processing, which are all key elements of a successful search engine.
Apple also published some updated guidance on their About page Applebot last month, including topics that overlap with Google Webmaster forums, such as the rules of the robots.txt file, custom indexing rules, and some of the things they take into account for the index.
Why is it important?
In August 2020, the Safari mobile browser is the most-used (in the US), while Chrome is second. So Apple "won" the mobile game, right? Well, not entirely. Google and Apple have a relationship that made Google the default search engine on the iPhone. This means that, unless the iPhone users manually change the default search settings, Google is the main mechanism that people use to search on their iPhone. In that case, Apple "lost".

Apple Spotlight Search

But consider this: the integrated functions of Spotlight Search Apple seems to cut Google completely, which indicates that Apple is getting serious about search initiatives. While Spotlight Search helps users find applications or files, also help them search the web, and can include Google Search results. IOS and iPadOS latest update has shown that Spotlight Search can return a specific article or page, which allows users to navigate directly to the content-and cut Google Search entirely. A battle for search engine domination between Google and Apple could shake the world of search as we know it today.

How Apple (and even Google) may benefit
First and foremost, with its own search engine could effectively utilize learning Apples federation, which is a machine learning which focus on user behavior and, critically, happened entirely on the device. That will allow to study the performance of the model without the privacy issues other machine learning methodologies that the data sent to users outside server.

We all know that Apple has been at the forefront of the discussion of privacy, with ITP2 (dot) update it centered on deleting some major privacy issues such as tracking user behavior cross-platform and cross-device. Google will not be able to do this because it is a partner is paid on your iOS device and does not share the privilege of learning Apple to run the federation. apple search engine could be "the engine of privacy" for users, displacing smaller engines that market themselves as much, like DuckDuckGo's privacy friendly.

The second, more obvious pro for Apple is to replace the dominance of Google. As with any SEO team know, we always optimize for Google because the machines are important. All other engines benefit from these optimisations as well, because they have been slow to follow the lead of Google in terms of sophistication. Apple wins in many, many areas; if it can supplant Google in the search as well, stands to increase its market share even further.

At first glance, it seems Google does not really come out on top in any way if Apple launches a search engine. But it's not all bad news for incumbent industries. For starters, it would no longer pay Apple to become the search engine on the iPhone. Another interesting angle is that if Apple Digital Marketing Company in Newcastle  is a key player in the search space, it helps Google in defense against antitrust charges that keep piling up against it. Basically, Google can point to Apple and said, "Look, it's not just us!"
