Investing in a time of crisis?

by Mads Moeller Marketing manager

A crisis is normally a time where we hold our money tight and take certain reservations. However, the crisis of 2020 – or what most people perhaps would call the corona crisis – has turned out different then we might have anticipated. In the beginning of the year, real estate experts foresaw that the market would hurt. This turned out to be wrong. Actually, the prices on the real estate market went straight opposite. The prices went up. Another industry that was clearly affected by the situation was the stock market. People all around the world started to invest in stocks, even though they did not have any experience with the industry. Maybe this sudden interest in the stock market is due to the high degree of boredom. The need to start a project or just do something that fell outside the ordinary routine seemed to be stronger than ever. Therefore, it makes sense that this crisis was different from what we have witnessed before. More people started investing in stocks with the hope of a big profit. Nevertheless, is the sudden interest in the market a good or a bad thing?

There are probably people who are going to be disappointed. Cause there cannot just be winners within a stock market. Many experts say that the market is going to be far more dynamic and unpredictable. And this is not necessary a good thing. Corporations are depending on their investors and stockholders, so the unpredictability can cause a lot more uncertainty.

A tip for the present and future stock holders is to do some research. Read about what the stock market entails and how you succeed, in order to avoid pitfalls. Follow persons that can give you insight. This could be a person like Daniel Hansen from OMNIA Global. Daniel Hansen is a CEO and have been an entrepreneur since he was very young. On his blog he gives good tips on investing and doing business. Follow and read about Daniel Hansen here.
