Task P3.1 Database Design of
Computer Choice
Detail level design and implementation of SSADM for Computer Choice is giving in Task P2.1 and including all the stages of SSADM explanation and how it convert requirement to a proper database design for the Computer Choice Case given in the assignment.
Phase
1: Feasibility Study
Prepare for the feasibility study: Feasibility Study is
conducted for ComputerChoice requirement and Problem statement and found it is
technically feasible based on Dataflow diagrams shown below and other parameter
of requirement.
Below is the Level 0 Dataflow Diagram help us to understand System at higher level. The business area of computer choice system is analyzed so that it is determine whether a system can cost effectively and supports all the business requirements.

Base
on data flow of the system Dataflow Diagram is created as below
Phase 2: Requirements Analysis
During stage 1: The requirements of the computer choice system which need to be developed
are identified and all the processes carried out and the data structures
involved in the business environment modelling.
Phase 3: Requirements
Specification
Module 3 Definition of Requirements is done and detailed
functional and non-functional requirements are identified. New techniques are
introduced which will help to define the required processing and data
structures. Also detailing the already defined requirements is done in this
stage for the chosen option from the previous stage.
Phase 4: Logical System Specification
In this stage, Technical systems
options are made and the logical design is developed (MARTIN, james and
finkelstein, clive, 1981)
Phase 5: Logical Design
It
include ER diagram.
Phase 6: Physical
Design
In this stage logical system
specification and technical system specification are used to create Physical design
of database (FINKESTEIN, Clive, 1992)

Task P3.3 Methods of improvement
Evaluation effectiveness of the database solution is
done and database physical structure can be enhance to support high performance
by using Hint, Indexing and tuning for the Computer Choice database solution and will help in future when
data will be huge in database
The effective database management includes
the services as follows:
a. Security –
user authentication and authorization improve Database effectiveness
b. Compatibility
- Database should be compatible for all
platform and technology
c. Building and Expanding - codes the entire data and using application
information can be easily retrieve by the organization as per their
needs. Moreover this information can be selectively share with the
external application using system services.
d. Cleaning-up -
The Cleaning-up Process is very useful and it effectively helpful for every
organization to keeps the data cleaned and updated and database refresh when it
is required. The Cleaning-up Process includes deletion of record which is inaccurate and not be required in future, it
also to merging of duplicate entries and creating E-mails using by
organizations through E-mail formats.
e. Daily updating -The Daily Updating Process contain the proper analysis which involves
the analysis of information provided by an organization and it also involved recruitment
process which outsourcing firm provides updated information to the organization
through application about employee or
candidates, clients or customers, etc. (WINTER,
1998).

Conclusion
SSADM implementation is shown with the entire
supporting diagram, Database is designed and created, screen shot of table,
form and query is attached.
