PNR Status
Train trips are always fun, but you get worried sometimes when your train ticket is not confirmed. Life seems to be much easier and flexible with the advent of an online train enquiry system through which we can get any information regarding our train on fingertips.

What is the Importance PNR number?

Before moving on, we must know the importance of the PNR number. In the travel industry, a passenger name record (PNR) is a record in the database of a computer reservation system (CRS) that consists of the personal information for a passenger and also contains the itinerary for the passenger or a group of passengers traveling together.

Why I should check PNR status?

If you have booked your ticket and unfortunately you have got a waiting list ticket, then you need to check your ticket status regularly to know the updated status and information about your ticket. If other travellers cancel their voyage, the PNR status for the waiting list or RAC passengers may shift to confirm in the future. So, checking PNR status will help you to know whether your train ticket has got confirmed or is still on RAC, or on a waiting list.

How can I check PNR Status?

There are several websites where you can check your PNR status, and check whether it’s confirmed or not. As I am a regular traveller and I have used various platforms to check my PNR status. I seriously suggest checking PNR status on the Indian Train website as it provides you with accurate status. And most important it's very easy to use. All you need to do is go to the PNR status enquiry page and enter your PNR number. After entering the number, click on the ‘Get Status’ button. Now within a few seconds, your ticket status will be on your screen.
