IIM Bangalore Admission Criteria
The IIM Bangalore Admission Criteria for the selection of the candidates has been announced by IIM Bangalore. The selection of the candidates for PGP 2016-18 will be done on the basis of this criteria. As per the criteria, the selection will be done in two phases. In the first phase, the candidates those who appeared for the CAT 2015 and qualified for the personal interview and the second phase will select them on the basis of their performance in personal interview and written ability test. As mentioned earlier, that the IIM Bangalore Admission Criteria will be comprising of two phases. Let use elaborate both the phases. The first phase of selection is applied to all the candidates those who have appeared for CAT 2015 to select the candidates those who are eligible for the personal interview round.
During the interview of the candidates, they will be asked to write a short note on a topic provided by the IIM Bangalore. The topic will be from current economic, political and business affairs or may be some sports topics, that required creative thinking, as well. The time duration for this topic will be 30 minutes. The candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their work experience, academic background and various other personal traits as well. The short note will be examined separately.
Now the scores of written note and interview along with the pre-PI selection parameters are used cumulatively in the final phase of selection of the candidates. This will finally select the candidates from those who appeared in the personal interview round.
IIM Bangalore Admission Criteria will be identical for the candidates belonging to all the categories. The first short-listing of the candidates will be done on the basis of section wise and minimum marks scored by the candidates in the CAT exam. The percentage score of the candidates in class 10th and 12th will be adjusted by dividing the score by 90th percentile obtained in the board. The final scored obtained by the candidates are used for the bachelor's and professional courses.
As per the IIM Bangalore Admission Criteria, the candidates with cost accounting, chartered accountancy, company secretary certificates are eligible for the weight under professional courses. In phase 2, the performance of each candidate in the written note will be scored in the terms of content and style. The average scored given by the interviewers will be considered for the personal interview. The work experience score of the candidate will be multiplied by the quality of work experience score. The final admission offer to the candidates will be done on the basis of the rank of the candidates in the points under IIM Bangalore Admission Criteria.
