IBJJF WORLDS AND SAMPA
The Jiu Jitsu Worlds happens to be the most prestigious Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Tournament hosted by International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation every year. The first international tournament in USA took place at California, USA in 2007 and the first championship was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In recent times, BJJs have seen a great enthusiasm among spectators all around the world. In 2005, competitors fought in front of a live audience of 12000 and thousands of videos uploaded online.
The number of followers of this tournament rises with every passing year. IBJJF is getting recognized everywhere in the world. hildren, gown ups and people from different fields of work have shown interest in BJJ world. IBJJF stars today are receiving a fair share of praise and love from people around the globe.
Here at Sampa BJJ we also have every year students representing us at the worlds and on the last IBJJ worlds 2015 that took place in the last week of May, we had four competitors from sampa jiu jitsu.
One of the three got third place at the masters white belt with just six months of training.
Sampa BJJ is a prestigious institute with well-known instructors and Because of the worlds we have had many visitors coming from Brazil and Australia who trusted us and trained a bit here for the last adjustments before the tournament.
We also, in that same period, hosted a Rafael Gordinho Correa bjj seminar at Sampa Jiu Jitsu.
Correa happens to be a former Brazilian Jiu Jitsu champion who started participating in BJJ at a tender age of 10 along with brother Roberto Gordo BJJ.
Rafael is an inspirational and a vital figure in competitive BJJ. Active Students as well as visitors attended the seminar.
It leads to a great motivation among the students, serving its purpose. We leave no stone unturned to provide you with the best mental and physical guidance.
