IAS Prelims Exam Day: Few Things to Remember
The IAS Prelims exam is just around the corner. It is
scheduled to be conducted on 23rd August,
2015. As the day is getting nearer, aspirants are busy giving
their last preparation shots before for the D-day. In case, you are
one of the lakhs of IAS candidates this year, here are few things to
keep in mind for the Civil Services exam day:
What you should carry on the Prelims exam day?
A printout of your e-Admit Certificate, without it you cannot sit for the exam
A Black Ball Pen, you will need to answer all the questions. Don’t think of ball pen with any other ink color
Carry any of your government issued Identify proofs. Any of these would work - Driving License, PAN Card, Voter ID, and Passport
Good to have a watch. It will help you to keep a track of time
Carry a clip board, it will give you enough support to write your answer
What are the things you should not carry?
Books, notes and loose sheets
Any kind of electronic communication devices such as mobile phones, Bluetooth, and pagers
Things to keep in mind while solving the objective type questions
Wrong answers will attract negative marking. 1/3 of the assigned marks for a question would be deducted if you give a wrong answer
Stick to giving one answer for a question. Don’t give more than one answer, it will be treated as wrong answer
There will be no penalty for unanswered questions
Use a black ball pen to Deeply darken the circles against the right answer option
Proper conducts at the exam hall
Using unfair means is banned. Don’t copy from anyone and write your own answers
Must behave properly. Don’t misbehave with any of the staff
Always comply with the rules of the examination hall

Take rest and stay calm
Sleep well before the exam day
