by Mothers Pride Preschool In order to equip our tiny tots with the basic understanding of comparing light and heavy, a fun-filled set of activities was recently organized at Mother’s Pride. The teachers compared common items to guide the young learners in associating them with heavy and light. Besides teaching measurement in terms of simplified comparison of heavy and light, the activity also acquainted Prideens with the terms – lighter, heavier, lighter than, and heavier than. Adding another chapter of lifelong learning, this school readiness activity efficiently provided the little cherubs an early mathematical experience.
