Method1:  Restart your computer and log into Windows as a user with administrative account

Method2: Uninstall AVG Antivirus via Windows Control Panel

Follow the instructions for your version of Windows to uninstall the software:

Windows 10

Open the Start menu.

Click Settings.

Click System on the Settings menu.

Select Apps & features from the left pane.

A list of all installed apps appears in the right pane.

Select the software you wish to uninstall.

Click the Uninstall button that appears. If it is grayed out, this is a system app you cannot remove.

Click the Uninstall pop-up button to confirm.

Windows 8

Go to the Desktop and open the sidebar.

Select Settings —> Control Panel.

In the Control Panel window, click the link Programs and Features (or Uninstall a program if you are using Category view).

In the Programs and Features window, Select AVG Antivirus and click on Uninstall button.

Windows XP/ Vista /7

Click Start and go to Control Panel.
