How To Solve A Wrong Payment In Quickbooks?

In QuickBooks, an accounting software, while you apply a customer payment wrongly to an invoice or to the incorrect customer, it needs to be resolved. It seems just like an easy fix but often it may be tricky. Here are some scenarios, you can find out here-

Payment gone to wrong client but deposit not completed yet

In the customer centre, find out the client where payment was wrongly applied.

Make double click on the payment.

On the, “received from” drop down menu and choose the right customer. If you need any kind of help, you can take from QuickBooks support team immediately.

Payment entered to wrong patron and deposit made

In the customer centre, search the customer where payment was wrongly applied.

Make the right click on wrong payment, and choose, “View Transaction History”.

Find out the date of the deposit.

Go to your bank register and find out the deposit you are seeking for.

Make the right click on the deposit and click on “Edit Deposit”.

Verify the wrong payment is the part of this deposit.

Choose edit/delete deposit.

In the customer centre, search the customer where payment was wrongly applied.

Make double click on the payment.

On the received option from descend and choose the right customer.

Back on the home screen and click on the record deposits button.

Choose the items to be deposited to suit bank activity.

Deposit collected together rightly to suit the bank statement

Find out the deposits that were not collected together in the bank register but need to be in order to suit the bank statement activity.

Make right click on every deposit and choose delete deposit.
