How to Sign Documents on the Mac with iPad or iPhone?

You now get options such as Sidecar that allows your iPad to become the second screen for your Mac. Here are the instructions to sign documents on your Mac with an iPad or iPhone.

Signing a Document on MacBook with iPhone or iPad in Quick Look

If you want to sign a document on MacBook with iPhone or iPad in Quick Look, then you need to follow the instructions given below.

  • First of all, launch the Finder screen on the Mac by tapping the Finder icon.
  • Then you should locate & select on the file you would like to sign.
  • You have to hold the space bar on the keyboard. Your file will appear in Quick Look.
  • Thereafter you should select the Markup option.
  • You have to click on the signature option.
  • Navigate to the iPad or iPhone.
  • After that, you should click on the Select Device.
  • Go to the selected iPad or iPhone from the device list.
  • You have to go to the iPad or iPhone then sign your name.
  • Thereafter click on Done on the iPad or iPhone.
  • Later, tap on the signature that now comes in the signature section on the Mac.
  • After that, drag the signature to wherever it requires to be in the document.
  • Now, click on Done.

Signing a Document on Mac with the iPad or iPhone in Preview

  • Get started by launching Preview on the Mac.
  • Then you should launch the document you would like to sign.
  • You have to click on View.
  • After that, you should click on Show Markup Toolbar.
  • You should select the signature tab.
  • Later, click on the iPad or iPhone.
  • You have to go to Select Device.
  • Navigate to the device list & choose the selected iPad or iPhone.
  • You should signature the name on the iPad or iPhone.
  • After that, click on Done on the iPad or iPhone.
  • Later, go to the signature that now comes in the signature section on the MacBook.
  • Now, you have to drag the signature to wherever it requires to be in the document.
