How To Ship A Car

Most people are not shipping cars often.  It is becoming more common because of people buying cars online, but majority of people do know how to ship their vehicle or how to look for a reliable company.  I is going to have a step by step process on how to ship a car and find the right company.

1. Go on Google, Yahoo or Bing and search for best vehicle transport companies.  From there move past the ads and go to the organic traffic.  I normally tell customers to get 3-4 different quotes. So choose 3 of 4 companies out of the 10 listed and get a quote from each of them.
2. The next step is to research each company you got a quote from.  Check out their Google Reviews, their Better Business Bureau profile and reviews, Facebook reviews & Transport Reviews.  Then I want you to rank each company you received a quote from from best to worst.  Hopefully one of the top 2 in your lost also has a cheap car shipping quote.  That is the company to choose.  They are the best rated and the cheapest car shipping price.
3. After choosing the company to ship your car, you'll probably have to sign a contract and potentially even give them a credit card as a broker fee/initial deposit.  This is typical and nothing you should be worrying about.  Once the company finds the actual auto hauler that is going to transport your vehicle you'll be notified by phone and given a loose timeline.
4. The auto hauler will then give you a 30-60 minute notice before they pick up and deliver your vehicle.  The only thing you'll have to do when they are picking up and delivery the vehicle is do the vehicle inspection report (also known as a Bill of Lading).  This is where you will note any dings or scratches on the vehicle.  You'll also received a carbon copy of this or if the hauler is fully electronic you'll get an email wit this document that you have signed.
