  • Using the General Settings tab
  1. Log in to the Google Account, which is registered with the Google Home device.
  2. You need to open the Google Home app by pressing on the symbol.
  3. After that, press on the hamburger menu.
  4. It will open the Settings.
  5. After that, you need to choose the More Settings tab.
  6. After choosing it, it will show the option with the various settings tab.
  7. Go down and press on Adjust Settings for this Google Home Device option.
  8. After that, press on the YouTube Restricted Mode button.
  9. Enable the toggle option.
  10. It is given next to the section, which indicates the Restricted Mode.
  11. It will stop everyone from seeing any content which YouTube doesn’t consider as good content.
  12. After that, launch the Google Play Music site.
  13. Click on the hamburger icon.
  14. It will launch the menu.
  15. After that, click on the General column.
  16. Go through the column which indicates the Block Explicit Songs in Radio option.
  • Set up the Parental Controls for every kid’s Google account
  1. Start downloading and installing the Family Link software on the iPhone or Android.
  2. Complete the installation.
  3. Set it up completely.
  4. After completing the pairing procedure, by going to the Child Google Account, press on the three dots symbol.
  5. It is given at the upper right-hand corner of the menu.
  6. After that, choose the Sign in to Google Home button.
  7. It is a procedure to pair the kid account with the Google Home device.
  8. Now, you need to command Google Home by using your kid voice.
  9. Once you have completed this procedure, open the Family Link software on the iPhone or Android.
  10. Choose the Child Account option.
  11. Press on the Adjust Settings tab.
  12. After that, choose the Google Assistant option.
  13. At last, disable the toggle option.
  14. You will get an option which indicates the Third-Party Apps.

This way you can add parental controls on your smart speaker, and protect your kids. Google has made it easy for people to restrict content and add customization on Home devices.
