How to set a custom ringtone on iPhone iOS

This method is very fast and convenient to get M4r file. But you have a computer. You can read option2:

OPTION 2: Use itunes on desktop

Step 1: Connect your iphone to your computer by cable.

Step 2: Open Itunes.

Step 3: Choose Songs in Menu to show list of all songs in your iphone, look at the picture:

Step 4: Find your favorite song which you want to set as ringtone. Right-click -> Song info

A window open, click to Option

Fill into start time and stop time to cut ringtone from this song. Click Ok button to cut.

Step 5: Choose new cutted file, then go to File > Convert > Create AAC Version

Choose new file AAC Version and rename it to .M4R

Step 6: Transer this file into your iphone.

2. Set iphone ringtone from M4R file

Step 1: Open Setting -> Sounds.

Tap on the type of alert for which you want to set a custom ringtone. See picture:

A list ringtones will show. Find your favorite song and set it as new ringtone.
