How to Reuse It: Coffee Grounds

Reduce, reuse and recycle. Nowadays, the whole world is spinning around those three R-s. Everyone is talking about how our planet is overcrowded and how bad the consequences will be. The lack of main resources like clean, fresh water and food, can't lead to anything different than a disaster.
Be aware, there is no better way prevent that from happening, than reducing wastes by recycling everything that can be recycled. Coffee is one of those multi-purposed things, that can be reused in an easy, useful and effective way.
If you are one of the people, which can't survive a day without a cup of coffee, this article is written for you. Just ask yourselves the question: “Why tossing coffee grounds in the litter box, when you can reuse them?” Now it's the time to find some smart ideas on this item's second use, for different, smart purposes.
Reducing waste can't be bad, no matter what it is, that you will be recycling. Letting something to go to waste, instead of finding a new purpose for it, just has no sense at all, and will never have.
1.In the Household
My first advice on how to reuse coffee grounds suggests including them in the household maintenance. Inpatient to find out how? By using them as an efficient deodoriser for your fridge. Get rid of the fishy smell, in an easy and organic way, no artificial, chemical-containing commercial products involved. In order to do it, just put some fresh coffee grounds in small bowls, and place them in your refrigerator. For an even better smelling kitchen appliance, you can add few drops vanilla extract to the grounds and the results will be amazing ! You will never want to go out from the kitchen, it will become your favourite room of all.
2.For Beauty Purposes
No commercial product can substitute the organic one. Women spend crazy money, when it comes to their beauty. The truth is, most face creams and masks contain dangerous substances like parabens, which are neither healthy, nor beautifying. On the other side, you can make a great organic home made skin peeling out of coffee grounds. Just mix them with olive oil and apply on your skin with gentle massaging movements. This simple natural peeling does miracles with dry skin. It will remove all dead skin cells, living your skin smooth, moisturised and wonderfully smelling. I do it every week and I am more than satisfied with the results, on top of that, it is an absolutely free of charge home SPA procedure.
3.In the Garden
For my last suggestion, we will go outside, in the garden. Who knew coffee grounds are a perfect booster for carrot harvest? That's right, I was also amazed by this at first. Although I am aware, coffee contains a lot of nutrients, I never thought of this idea, until I heard it from professional gardeners in Balham. As it turns out, coffee grounds work as a natural fertiliser. In order to boost carrot harvest, mix their seeds with fresh coffee grounds, before planting. The extra bulk will make the tiny seeds easier to sow and the grounds will supply additional nutrients to the soil, while decomposing around the plants. Easy and effective.
I hope you will benefit from those ideas and start reusing coffee grounds. Don't forget, natural ingredients are always the best and most efficient, so why waste them?

I am very glad, you liked it :) I've tried all the described tips and they really work. Especially the home made skin peeling. Using coffee grounds as deodoriser for garbage disposals is also very efficient.
