How to Reset the Ink Level in a Dell Printer?

by Lara Price Dell Printer Support Number (+353-498994003)
Dell printers give better printing quality unless your ink cartridges are not empty. And when cartridges go empty; many questions arise – what to do? How to do? But the most problematic one pop ups when, you’ve already refilled a cartridge and your machine doesn’t respond. It means, your machine still thinks the cartridge is empty and in case of non-Dell brand ink cartridges, your printing machine refuses to identify that cartridge because non-Dell cartridges don’t contain the chip that identify a new cartridge has been installed.

You should follow the below steps – to reset the ink level in a Dell printer.

Resetting the Ink Level – Non-Dell Brand Ink Cartridge
Step 1: - First of all, turn your printer off; unplug the power cable, if it is still on. Wait 5-10 seconds.

Step 2: - Plug the switch; turn on your printer. After a few seconds, a dialogue box with the heading “Dell XXX XXX” (here, Xs represent the type and model number of your machine) will appear on your computer screen. If the dialogue box doesn’t appear, turn off then turn on your printer.

Step 3: - Now click on the control program’s icon (located on your computer’s desktop, if it’s not there, go to the Programs menu and select it. Mac users select it from the Finder).

Step 4: - Locate on the dialogue box the wording “Complete-A-Print”. Make sure there is no checkmark. If the mark is available in the box, click on the mark to remove it. Do nothing if the check mark is not available.

Step 5: - Finally, click “Ok” to close the dialogue.

Kudos! You’ve now reset the ink level in your Dell printer and additional warnings about installing a non-Dell ink cartridge have been disabled.
