How to Reduce Video Size on Android or iOS

In the world of Full HD and 4K videos, a normal one-minute video captured by a smartphone exceeds 100 MB. You’ll probably like to share some of these with your friends or family. But, because of the large size you won’t send it. Some of you hate the uploading time, and some want to save their precious data. By compressing videos, you can reduce their size and send them quickly whomever you want. Here is how to minimize videos size on the phone.

On Android

There are numerous applications available on the Play Store that are free and easily reduce the video size.

1.    Open the ‘Play Store’ app on your Android device.

2.    Tap on the ‘Search bar.’

3.    Type ‘video compress’ into it.

4.    Press ‘Enter’ on your screen keyboard.

5.    Select ‘Video Compress’ from the list of results.

6.    Tap the green ‘Install’ button.

7.    Allow permission, if prompt.

8.    Wait for 1-2 minutes to complete downloading and installation.

9.    Tap ‘Open’ button, when appear.

10.    Tap ‘Allow’ to give access to your device.

11.    Now, open the ‘Folder’ that contains the video you want to compress.

12.    Find and select the video of which you want to reduce the size.

13.    Tap the ‘Compress Video’ option at the top.

14.    Select a new resolution and size for your video.

15.    You’ll see the video start compressing.

16.    Wait until the compressing process complete.

17.    Find and play your new video.

The videos you compressed will save with the original name in a folder named Super Video Compressor. You’ll find the folder in your file storage.

On the iPhone or iPad

1.    Open ‘App Store’ in your iOS device.

2.    Tap the ‘Search’ tab at the bottom.

3.    Now, tap on the search bar and type ‘compress video.’

4.    Press ‘Enter’ on your screen keyboard.

5.    Select ‘Video Compress’ from the searched applications.

6.    Tap ‘Get’ button.

7.    Then tap ‘Install’ button.

8.    Allow permission, if prompt.

9.    Wait for 1-2 minutes to complete downloading and installation.

10.    Tap ‘Open’ button, when appear.

11.    Tap ‘OK’ button to give access to your Photos.

12.    Find the video whose size you want to reduce.

13.    Scroll down, to view more video.

14.    Tap ✓ icon at the top.

15.    Or tap ‘Choose’ to select the video.

16.    Tap and move the ‘Target Size’ slider to set the video size.

17.    After that, click the ‘Save’ button.

18.    You’ll see the video start compressing.

19.    Wait until the compressing process complete.

Find and play your new compressed video from the Camera Roll.
